Can I Put 55 Tires Instead Of 50. Not sure about bike specific. The 215/55r16 tire is just a little larger diameter.

In short if your factory size is 215/45, don't just buy 205/45 tires because they will be too small. Joined aug 11, 2013 · 25 posts. I know you can fit 255/40 on the b8 without having any rubbing issues.
Rolling Diameter = 205 Times 60% Times 2, Plus 406.40 = 652.40Mm Or 25.685 205/60/16'S A Tad Over Half An Inch Smaller Rolling Diameter Than The 225/55/16'S.
A 60 series tire is only a little wider than a 55 series tire. A 50 sidewall gives you a 102.5mm sidewall. Now 285/45/20 that would would great for matching speeds, but width is a questionable fit.

I have tires on my 2010 dodge grand caravan and they are 225 65 r16 can i change them to 225 55 r16 But since that is electronic, it'll probably reset itself. You will also sacrifice a little bit of handling with a taller sidewall but will gain a bit more road absorbation.
Different Brands & Tires Will Also Make A Difference, Look For One That Has A Better Ride And A Very Soft Sidewall Can Help Too Like The Continental Dws.
What is the difference between 50 and 55 on tires? Can i use 215/70 r16 tires instead of 225/60 r16 tires on my buick regal gs? If i were to change sizes from the oem 195/55/16, i think i would change to the 205/55/16 size rather than the 205/50/16 size.
No, The 60/55 Is The Percent Of The Width (205) That The Sidewall Is.
Your new tire will be about 1 smaller. In short if your factory size is 215/45, don't just buy 205/45 tires because they will be too small. I have a good buddy who went through 2 complete sets of michelins within 80k miles.
