You may take tylenol (acetaminophen) as directed. Should be fine as long as you have no condition that is adversely affected by tylenol such as either allergy or liver disease. I have lots of colonoscopies and have taken oxycodone in high doses for ortho issues (courtesty of the last gulf war) and pain relief during colonoscopy has never been an issue.
